Norwell Historical Society held the annual First Parish Comes Alive event. Actors portrayed a variety of historic individuals who are buried in the graveyard. Actor Joe Zellner portrayed Solomon Pierce who is not buried in the cemetery but he fought in the Union Army in the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment alongside Black soldiers from Norwell.
